The French Lick Scenic Railway always welcomes Charter Bus groups. If your company is interested in booking a trip with us, we would be more than happy to help. We schedule our Charter Groups on any of our regularly scheduled trips throughout the week or on the weekends. Please contact Teresa by calling 1-800-74-TRAIN or by e-mail at info@frenchlickrr.org at least one month prior to your desired booking date so that we are able to have enough room to accommodate your group.

Visiting the French Lick Scenic Railway is always more pleasant if you can enjoy it with a large group of your friends and family! If you are joining us for one of our train rides and are traveling with a group of 25 or more in your party, please contact Teresa by calling 1-800-74-TRAIN or emailing at info@frenchlickrr.org at least 7 days in advance to schedule your trip. This will ensure that you and your party can sit together in comfortable style during our 1 3/4 hour train tour.

All groups are advised to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your departure time, (or 45 minutes prior for the Western Hold-Up events).

We also provide a discount for regularly scheduled train rides for parties of 15 or more (Discount not available for special events including Wild West Hold-Ups, Dinosaur Train, and The Polar Express Train Ride.

If you are looking for a more intimate setting in a beautiful vintage train car, you can make reservations for a Cocktail Train Ride. Complete with bartender and fully stocked bar, this makes for the perfect party setting for any celebration, office party or family reunion.

These trips last approximately 75 minutes, and can be tailored to fit your group’s needs. Your trip can be built for groups of 40 or more, with a variety of options ranging from full bar and catered buffet style meal, to cocktails and hors d’overs. A variety of menus are available to choose from.

Themed Weddings have become more and more popular over the years. And vintage style train weddings are at the top of the list!

Weddings at the French Lick Scenic Railway are absolutely amazing... recite your vows with one of our antique trains as the backdrop, or inside one of our train cars as we whisk your guests away into the beautiful Hoosier National Forest.

Then you can hold your reception in a beautifully adorned tent, complete with music, lights and ambiance or you can continue the party during your train ride ceremony!

Our complete wedding packages include everything from food, drinks, servers, music and decor. We also have a professional photographer that will capture all of those special moments during each portion of your special day. We want to ensure that your wedding will be the talk of your guests for years to come and provide memories that will last a life time.

Whether you are celebrating your 2nd birthday, or your 82nd birthday, the French Lick Scenic Railway is able to add that special touch to make your birthday celebration a little more special. Teachers can arrange to take their class on a fun filled and educational field trip where students not only get to learn about history, but experience it. This train ride lasts approximately 1 hour, and is fully narrated so that students are able to learn about everything they see while enjoying their time on our train. Educational programs regarding the different types of engines or cars that have been used over the years are also available before or after your trip. Please inquire about these options when booking your field trip.

PICNIC AREA

The Museum has several picnic tables (most under a roof) available to groups at no additional charge. These tables can seat approximately 40-60 people. Groups can bring their own lunch or take advantage of our pizza train.

RAILROAD MUSEUM STORE

Before or after your trip, allow time for your students to visit the Museum Store. Our store features a wide range of railroad related products such as videos and DVDs, books for children (both young and old) toys, postcards, and much, much more.
